A 37 year old co-worker had recently died. Bong, and a group of co-workers were playing basketball - a take-off game celebrating ePer Sportsfest. During the first game, Bong decided to rest during the 2nd half. When the 2nd game was about to start, Bong stood up and with his usual smile and confident bravado said, "Lets play!". Those were the last words he ever uttered. His face changed and just fell. When he got to Makati Med, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Kim and I had very little interaction with Bong. Bong, was the one who certified me out of PST. From my quiet corner in the production floor I could see him. Bong always took the time to approach all of his agents and you will always see him running around the floor chasing someone. It is like witnessing my youngest son chasing after his sister. And don't you ever wear any pearls if you don't want Bong sitting beside you and just feeling your pearls. He loved them and will make sure you know it. Whenever I would need to get my latest AHT and my coach is on rest day he is always ready to accommodate my request with his cheerful demeanor. The week before he passed away, he sat beside me and asked if I could help him by providing his new agents with my AHT tracker. Of course I willingly did it for him. Everyday after that, whenever he saw me, he would always say thank you. In that short period of time, Bong still gave me so many memories of him that I can't help but write this to say: Thanks Bong, for sharing your life with us and I will miss you.
